So what’s a girl to do when she retires after 29 years of teaching high school? With my background in fashion merchandising and marketing it was a natural fit for me to teach marketing and entrepreneurship, and I loved it. But, what now?
I have always loved working towards designing a home that was cozy and welcoming, but my career choice made decorating on a budget a must! My style of design is born out of the love for vintage and antique pieces that have survived the test of time. Eclectic design where no rules apply. Traditional pieces that provide practicality for today’s lifestyles mixed with treasures of the past. Worn by time and distressed by use, these tell a story of days gone by and still bring a smile of pleasure to the here and now.
So, for now, while I wait for God to give direction in “redesigning” my life, this will be a place for us to share all things home. I would love for you to join me on the journey, putting together design projects and DIY’s to help make home a place where anyone that enters can find rest and a smile!
